Maurice Leblanc

While he would go on to study for a career in law, he would abandon those plans to become a novelist and eventually pen the tales of Arsène Lupin, the inspiration for Lupin III. At age 76, he passed away having penned over sixty novels and short stories, twenty-one of which featured the exploits of his most famous character Arsène Lupin.
